About Compliance Management Roles

We are seeking an experienced compliance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance management standards, frameworks, tools and best practices.

  • Assist with the effective implementation of our Compliance Management Policy across the organisation.
  • Review operational business processes to identify potential compliance risks or inefficiencies in controls and suggest suitable process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor, manage and report on compliance risks, including actions taken, where material control deficiencies or breakdowns have been identified.
  • Effectively assess, classify and manage reported incidents and breaches.
  • Regularly monitor and report on amendments to regulatory and compliance obligations, and any emerging issues and trends.
  • Evaluate all applicable obligations and ensure they are integrated into the business to meet regulatory, legislative and business requirements.
  • Create, maintain, schedule and deliver compliance management training and awareness initiatives.
  • Support second line reviews of amendments to member content, providing feedback and advice to relevant stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Skills

The following are some essential qualities we look for in a Compliance Consultant:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid understanding of compliance management standards, frameworks, tools and best practices.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and industry codes.
  • Familiarity with the Australian Standard for Compliance Management Systems (AS ISO 37301:2021).
  • Knowledge of private health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements, or experience in the financial services sector, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and continuously improving compliance management frameworks.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a compliance related role.
