Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Program Manager to lead our engineering teams in delivering projects that meet the objectives of cost, schedule, and quality.


Key Responsibilities



  • Leadership and line management of the Project Engineering team
  • Mentoring and coaching of the project engineering team to develop and hone their skillsets
  • Develop and deliver training in project engineering management
  • SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PMBOK PRINCIPLES
  • Develop standards of project engineering management excellence aligned with UGL policy and industry standards
  • Establish and enforce best practice project engineering management principles and procedures
  • Provide day-to-day project engineering management problem-solving and performance improvement
  • Monitor and report project engineering team output to ensure correctness, quality, consistency, and on-time delivery
  • Establish knowledge-sharing forums and communications across the Manufacturing and Maintenance – Transport business sector
  • Represent UGL at technical reviews, arbitration, conferences, and provide technical sales presentations

Requirements



  • An Engineering Degree from an accredited tertiary institution or equivalent
  • Chartered credential (CPEng) or eligibility to attain through IEAust
  • Additional relevant specialized training (e.g., MBA or Post Graduate studies in business management, culture change, project management, engineering management, commercial contracting, advanced negotiating)
  • Eligibility to obtain Rail Safety Worker status
  • Strong Program Management skills and team leadership experience in shaping business with a track record of delivery on time and budget
  • Well-versed in design development under an assurance framework, including Systems Engineering, Safety Assurance, RAM, and Human Factors elements
