Position Overview

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Permanent Fugal Operator at Invicta Mill. This role entails continuous shift work, including weekends and potential overtime during the Crushing Season (June - December). During the Maintenance Season (January - May), the position primarily involves day shifts with regular days off on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce raw sugar and C seed/magma that meet customer quality and technical specifications.
• Ensure efficient sugar production to avoid delays in pan stage operations.
• Conduct sampling, inspection, and basic analysis of sugar and molasses streams while maintaining accurate records.
• Separate sugar from molasses with minimal loss.
• Monitor syrup/magma/massecuite stocks and communicate any abnormalities to pan stage operators.
• Perform regular inspections of plant equipment and complete maintenance requests.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness around the fugal station.
• Provide on-the-job training and assist in evaluating employees in structured training programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commitment to continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to support and guide team members effectively.
• Experience in the sugar industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Relevant certifications such as HRWL for Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding (or willingness to obtain).
• A willingness to acquire additional skills and competencies as required.
