Job Title: Permanent Fugal Operator

Wilmar Sugar is seeking a skilled and experienced Fugal Operator to join our team at Invicta Mill. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the fugal station, ensuring the production of high-quality raw sugar and molasses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the fugal station, including the production of raw sugar and molasses.
  • Monitor and control the syrup/magma/massecuite stocks, ensuring optimal levels and quality.
  • Perform regular inspections of plant and equipment, identifying and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with Pan Boilers, Shift Leaders, and other team members to achieve production targets and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to new employees, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge of sugar production processes and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, during the crushing season.
  • HRWL for Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding (or willingness to obtain) and/or trade skills.
