The Director of Philanthropy is a key member of the Advancement Division, responsible for leading the development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure major gifts for the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, focusing on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding long-term relationships with donors who have the capacity to make transformative gifts.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Philanthropy to establish prospect management goals and develop strategic donor engagement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain accurate contact reports, opportunities, and solicitation efforts in the Blackbaud RENXT database.
- Lead monthly meetings with the College of Business Dean and secure prospective donor meetings for university leadership to deepen relationships.
- Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful college community.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in nonprofits and/or front-line fundraising of major gifts or planned gifts ($25k+).
- Preference for higher ed experience.
