About the Role

The Emergency Communications Information Systems team is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the operational sustainment of the CAD Service. This role is accountable for ensuring the reliability, operability and sustainment of the organisation's CAD Service.

Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership and input into the development of strategic CAD roadmaps, monitoring, measuring and managing service performance, and working collaboratively with other teams within the organisation to ensure that the CAD Service meets business and operational requirements.

  • Lead the operational sustainment of the CAD Service and ensure technical services operate effectively and in line with performance and resilience requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal support teams and emergency service organisations to resolve incidents and manage any changes related to the CAD Service.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and network teams to ensure a holistic lifecycle program and align support services and security with CAD Service requirements.
  • Participate in active disaster recovery planning and testing for ICT systems to ensure CAD service continuity and resilience in the event of a disruption.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster trust and ensure CAD Service outcomes align with organisational priorities.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of ITIL service management practices, extensive experience in an IT-based role, including IT team management, with demonstrated experience in applying service management principles across the service lifecycle.

  • An ITIL v3 certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end management of mission-critical services and application management.
  • Extensive knowledge in contract and vendor management, and experience in the successful delivery of software and solutions.
  • Experience leading a high-performing team in a complex work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
