Investigative Professional

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Investigative Professional to join our Fraud and Investigations team on a 12-month assignment.

The Fraud and Investigations team detects and responds to internal and external payment fraud, protecting financial sustainability and strengthening fraud controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting complex and sensitive criminal investigation activities in accordance with processes and standards
  • Conduct interviews, prepare statements and affidavits
  • Collect, secure and manage evidence material and prepare cases and briefs of evidence
  • Providing evidence in criminal and civil court as a representative of the Agency
  • Analysing and processing information to produce accurate and informative reports
  • Conducting formal and informal discussions
  • Assisting with the execution of search warrants

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Cert IV in Government investigations
  • Experience in a similar role including conducting interviews, preparing relevant documents and managing confidential information
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance
  • Experience providing evidence in criminal or civil court and preparing briefs of evidence would be advantageous
