Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CG Artist to join our team as a Generalist Environment Artist. As a key member of our environment team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality computer graphics for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on all aspects of CG images or shots, utilizing artistic and technical skills.
  • Create high-quality computer graphics within a shot using various software programs.
  • Participate in determining aesthetic solutions and provide feedback to team members.
  • Mentor junior artists and assist them with their shots.
  • Meet defined milestones within a timeline.
  • Source suitable reference materials for required assets.
  • Attend dailies and participate in creative problem-solving.
  • Responsible for creating original 2D and 3D content for environments.
  • Create multiple types of mattes and allocate detail based on the shot and feedback.
  • Set up basic shaders for look development and create lighting setups in complex shaders.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing.
  • High level of problem-solving or creative thinking skills.
  • Fluent in Photoshop and Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar software.
  • Comparable software experience considered.
  • Degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or Photography.
