About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainer and Educator to join our team at The Salvation Army Australia. As a Trainer and Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to young people, including classroom-based and work placement supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver vocational training programs to diverse participant groups, face-to-face, online, and by distance.
  • Plan, design, and schedule vocational training courses to meet the needs of learners.
  • Source and contextualize training materials to ensure they are engaging and meet current industry requirements.
  • Provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Record all client data, interactions, and assessments.
  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment of students.
  • Mark submitted assessments within the required time frame, providing meaningful feedback to learners.
Requirements
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • A current paid NSW Employee Working With Children Check.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of vocational education and training and hospitality industry in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training to diverse participant groups.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn database programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, listening, and networking skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
  • Compassion and professionalism in all actions and ethics.
  • Energy, flexibility, initiative, and integrity with a positive and friendly attitude.
