Medical Director

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable leader to provide effective leadership and management of medical services provided by both senior and junior medical staff within a vibrant multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to medical staff on clinical governance, professional practice, and clinical ethics.
- Manage health financial and activity reporting systems, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead the development and implementation of medical workforce strategies to meet the needs of the district.
- Foster excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with senior medical practitioners and clinicians.
Selection Criteria:
- Registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia / Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
- Demonstrated experience operating effectively in a clinical leadership and management role at an executive/senior level.
About The Opportunity
You will be based at Orange Health Service, part of the Western NSW Local Health District. You will work within a collaborative executive team and be the line manager for all senior and junior doctors as well as the medical administration unit.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in managing health financial and activity reporting systems, knowledge of contemporary health issues, rural healthcare priorities, and reform agendas within the NSW Health system.
