This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a modern, hybrid cloud strategy that supports the business's fast-paced transformation and customer-centric goals.

Job Description

You will own the cloud platform strategy and lead a team of engineers - empowering developer teams with scalable, secure and reliable cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a high-performing cloud team, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence
  • Design and evolve the enterprise hybrid cloud platform strategy, with a focus on scalability, usability, and compliance
  • Partner with developers and key stakeholders to ensure the platform supports delivery teams effectively
  • Champion cloud governance, security, and best practices aligned with regulatory and organisational standards
  • Support large-scale change and transformation initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in platform operations, developer experience, and team capabilities

To be successful in this role you will need 7+ years' proven leadership experience managing large technical teams in cloud/platform engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Deep understanding of cloud strategy and operations across multi/hybrid environments (AWS/GCP)
  • Comfortable being both technically credible and strategically focused
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across technology and business functions
  • A collaborative, pragmatic leader who puts team enablement and outcomes first
  • Experience with large enterprise environments (insurance/financial services experience is a plus)
