Job Title: Hospitality Manager

About the Role

Park Hyatt Melbourne is a luxury hotel that delivers sophisticated, contemporary hospitality to its guests.

This leadership role involves overseeing the efficient operation of the Front Office department by supervising staff and managing daily tasks. You will ensure exceptional customer service by effectively processing guest arrivals, payments, transactions, and departures.

You will work closely with a team of 18, supporting the Front Office Manager and contributing to achieving the hotel's objectives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure staff are familiar with hotel products, services, promotions, policies, and procedures
  2. Oversee staff performance and assist with duties
  3. Allocate rooms for the following day
  4. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to staff
  5. Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers
  6. Assist in rostering staff to ensure adequate coverage
  7. Handle and resolve guest complaints effectively
  8. Upsell and cross-sell hotel facilities
  9. Place amenities and welcome letters in rooms before guest arrival
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in Front Office within a four or five star hotel environment
  • Experience using Opera systems is advantageous
  • Diploma level or higher qualifications in business or hotel management is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Superior customer service skills and service resolution skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • Five-star grooming standards and flexibility to work on a rotating roster
