About Our Family Contact Work Position

Our organization is seeking a professional to supervise and support safe family contact for children in care. The role involves traveling to carer homes and community locations as needed, based on our principles.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who can transport and supervise family contact visits autonomously, write clear and detailed reports soon after each visit, and support care plans with Case Managers. Additionally, the successful candidate will identify and report child protection concerns and manage visits when not in the child's best interest.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Diploma in Community Services (or related field) and hold a valid Driver's Licence, WWCC, First Aid & NDIS clearance. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage conflict and work with diverse families. Understanding of child safety and car restraint laws is also required.

What We Offer:

We offer casual shifts across mornings, afternoons, and occasional overnights, as well as the use of a pool vehicle for transport during shifts. Paid training and 24/7 incident response support are also provided. Career pathways in Out of Home Care and child protection are available for the right candidate.
