About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional High Care Senior Claims Consultant to join our team, responsible for managing a portfolio of complex, high-value claims for vulnerable customers. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and conflict resolution abilities, as well as a deep understanding of policy interpretation and claims decision-making.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of end-to-end claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution, while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Claim Review and Analysis: Review each referred claim for acceptance, adhering to ICA, PDS, and internal dispute resolution guidelines.
  • Customer Support: Manage existing claims, providing support within policy entitlements, organizing repairs, and communicating effectively throughout the claims lifecycle.
  • Risk Identification and Compliance: Identify potential risks or compliance issues, escalating them to management for prompt resolution.
  • Documentation and Validation: Seek additional information to validate events, reviewing, verifying, and issuing documentation to customers.
  • Underwriting and Determination: Accurately underwrite claims, making determinations on cover, while applying duty of care principles.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating claim finalization and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Vulnerability Support: Identify and respond to vulnerability experiences, offering relevant support services.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a supportive team environment, working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

Your Ideal Profile:

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent Customer Service Experience: Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance products and processes, preferably in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Emotional Intelligence and Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive results, focus on outcomes, and negotiate effectively.
