Lead Complex Defence Shipbuilding Projects

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Adelaide, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the execution of large-scale technical projects with significant interdependencies and evolving requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear direction and prioritisation while managing technical challenges and interdependencies for project teams.
  • Navigate uncertainty and change, maintaining programme objectives and priorities while balancing trade-offs between quality, time, and cost.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including the project team, customer, industry partners, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Foster a proactive risk management culture, identifying and mitigating potential risks and communicating risk positions to stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in a complex production build and/or engineering environment.
  • Experience in managing uncertainty and change, technical complexity, scale, and duration.
  • Industry experience in defence, civil infrastructure, or energy sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage and solve project issues across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
  • Project management qualification or chartership desirable but not essential.
