As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of tailings facilities.

">Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tailings Engineer to join our innovative team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing direct support to our Processing Manager and RTFE with practical aspects of tailings management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate actionable support in implementing strategies, executing plans, and resolving challenges related to daily operational management of Tailings Storage Facilities.
  • Conduct routine and emergency inspections, and oversee surveillance and monitoring to align with design intent and performance objectives.
  • Assist with development of tender documents, provide input into TSF construction tender processes, and ensure adherence to QA/QC activities.
  • Proactively identify and manage tailings-specific risks, maintain critical controls, and contribute to environmental risk management associated with TSFs.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess a bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field. Additionally, you should have extensive experience in project, civil or geotechnical engineering, and experience coordinating engineering projects, site investigations, mining-related construction, and commissioning projects.

Desirable skills include working knowledge of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and practical knowledge of IT engineering systems that analyse slope stability, seepage, hydraulic modelling, and deposition modelling (e.g., GeoStudio, Rocscience, Muk3D).

A valid manual driver's license is also required.
