Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our engineering efforts in defining technical requirements for distributed energy resources.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that support a power system with high levels of DER.
  • This role involves leading projects to address power system challenges arising from increasing DER, including standards, compliance, and evolving behaviors.
  • The position requires strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice to support an integrated approach.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for defining technical requirements for DER.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop innovative solutions that support a power system with high levels of DER.
  • Lead projects to address power system challenges arising from increasing DER, including standards, compliance, and evolving behaviors.
  • Drive collaboration and stakeholder engagement to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Technology, or Science/Maths (with a power system focus), or equivalent relevant discipline or work experience.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office product suite.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong energy industry experience, ideally in DER product or service development.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems and electricity market systems, with ability to apply to practical problems.
