Industrial Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our Asset Team at the BlueScope Port Kembla Steelworks.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and report on asset condition.
  • Support daily tasks with the Asset Improvement Coordinators.
  • Plan and execute maintenance, shutdowns, and breakdowns.
  • Create work orders in SAP.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure reliable operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Mechanical Trade Qualification (Diploma of Engineering preferred).
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • NSW Driver's Licence and basic computer skills.
