Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Finance Analyst to contribute to one of Australia’s rapidly expanding luxury retail brands. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance during a pivotal growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Finance Analyst, your primary duties will include:
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing critical business and financial data, including reports, budgets, sales results, forecasts, KPIs, and other metrics to support strategic business enhancements.
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial accounting processes to ensure efficient service delivery, while documenting necessary changes to procedures.
  • Modeling business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Preparing insightful performance commentary for all periodic reporting related to sales, margins, marketing, and other performance metrics.
  • Managing the integrity of the underlying information database, ensuring consistent availability of commercial information across the organization, and assisting with the implementation of data tools to enhance planning, analytics, and reporting.
  • Engaging in various accounting, finance, and business-related projects.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree in Accounting or a related business discipline.
  • Strong understanding of three-way financial modeling.
  • Relevant experience in the retail sector.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in a professional commercial analyst capacity.
  • A commercial and analytical mindset with advanced Excel capabilities (including modeling, power query, pivot tables, and data analysis).
  • Experience with BI tools and SQL database systems, such as Power Query and Power BI, is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting software.
  • Proficient report writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to cultivate effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A self-starter attitude with the capacity to prioritize tasks under pressure and work independently.
