Senior Quality Operations Manager

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Operations Manager to lead our Quality Assurance function. This is a hands-on leadership role that oversees QA processes and seed technology research to ensure efficiency, compliance, and timely product release.

Safeguarding seed quality and integrity through audits, genetic purity testing, and GM/non-GM assessments is crucial in this position. You will drive continuous improvement and align local systems with our global quality framework.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel across Australia to inspect production sites, with occasional opportunities to connect internationally with global partners and programs.

About the Position

You will bring:

  • Hands-on experience in production agriculture, preferably within the seed sector, with strong knowledge of seed quality and analysis.
  • A solid understanding of plant science and its application in QC testing programs.
  • Proven leadership skills to inspire a team, make tough calls, and deliver operational excellence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Confidence and ease working with everyone from field staff to executives.
  • Experience with GM and non-GM crops, hybrid seed programs, and quality protocols is highly desirable.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as plant science, agronomy, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the seed industry.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience in managing teams and leading projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
