**Key Accountabilities**

**Machinery Operation**
- Operate seed coating equipment efficiently to obtain optimum through put.
- Operate all seed grading equipment efficiently to obtain optimum through put.
- Perform daily maintenance of machinery to ensure downtime is minimized.

**Facility and Equipment Hygiene**
- Ensure a high standard of equipment hygiene through efficient and thorough clean down and maintenance checks to minimize the risk of cross contamination.
- Maintain shed hygiene standards through regular cleaning.
- Adhere to all company established quality control procedures.
- Monitor and report insect and rodent activity to Commercial Seed Processing Supervisor.

**Quality**
- Ensure cleaned seed meets Pacific Seeds’ established quality specifications.
- Ensure all packaging is in line with Pacific Seeds’ required standards.
- Perform all sampling as required in line with established standards and directives.

**Administration**
- Complete all paperwork, seed grading reports, clean down sheets, chemical mix sheets and sampling paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure continuous supply of consumables required for scheduled grading and packaging requirements.
- Supervise temporary staff and ensure they are trained to approved standards in order to complete duties to Pacific Seeds’ quality standards.

**Safety Responsibilities**
- Take reasonable care for own health and safety and ensure that actions or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons.
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, reasonable instructions and actions taken by Pacific Seeds to allow compliance with legislation.
- Report workplace hazards and incidents to Manager as soon as practical after becoming aware of the hazard or incident.
- Only use machinery, equipment and vehicles for which training has been provided and competency in use has been achieved.
- Follow Safe Work Procedures, Machinery/Equipment Manuals and the Lockout Tagout Standard at all times when using machinery and equipment.

**Quality Management System Responsibilities**
- Ensure the processes and documented information relevant to the Quality Management System and their role are understood, established, implemented, maintained and improved.
- Adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Strive to achieve the company objectives and targets relevant to their role.
- Fix or communicate the problems they find to the appropriate person.
- Contribute to the improvement of the Quality Management System.

**Individual Performance Management**
- Actively participate and be involved in the setting of and completion of annual performance plans & KPI’s.
- Actively participate in individual development/training opportunities.
- Actively participate in all performance related discussions, including Mid-Year and End of Year Reviews.

**Machinery Usage, Repairs & Maintenance**
- Use all allocated machinery and vehicles in a professional manner to ensure no unnecessary damage occurs and desired life expectancy is reached.
- Maintain all allocated machinery and vehicles in good working order, and in accordance with scheduled servicing requirements.
- Arrange cost-effective additional servicing/modification requirements with third parties as required.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Carry out all work-related activities in a manner consistent with Pacific Seeds’ Values, Behaviours, Competencies and Procedures.
- Schedule leave arrangements in conjunction with Manager via an annual leave planner, to ensure leave is taken in line with company policy.
- Promptly communicate any issues to the Commercial Seed Processing Supervisor which may arise in relation to any of the key areas of responsibility.
- Always ensure adherence and compliance with all current policies and procedures.
- Operate/use all company equipment and assets with a high degree of duty of care.
