About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Property & Buildings team in Darwin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex structural engineering projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and technical aspects of major projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Building Code and Standards.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions for complex engineering problems, utilizing technical knowledge and experience.
  • Manage project teams, allocating tasks, and providing feedback on performance.
  • Coordinate activities with colleagues to meet deadlines and achieve set targets.
  • Ensure junior team members adhere to delivery standards and follow essential procedures.
  • Provide recommendations on resourcing requirements for specific projects.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for moderately complex projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification.
  • Knowledge of design in common building materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Experience working within a 3D design environment, with proficiency in BIM protocols.
  • Passion for design documentation, assessment, and analysis of technical data.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing.
  • Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen.
