About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Pritchard Francis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a variety of projects, including schools, hospitals, commercial, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document structural elements, including foundations, walls, floors, and roofs, to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and other design consultants to deliver successful projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the design process.
  • Develop and implement construction methods, materials, and quality standards to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to construction teams.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our designs are innovative and effective.

About You

We are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented professional with a strong background in structural design and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. You will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on structural design.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills, with the ability to engage with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
