Cloud and IT Systems EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Cloud and IT Systems Engineer to join our team. This permanent, full-time role will involve supporting our dynamic technology-focused team and business to thrive from the smallest task to project level tasks.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS/Azure) for high availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. They will also be responsible for managing and enhancing developer environments, tools, and workflows to ensure maximum productivity and security for engineering teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Design and implement cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for high availability, scalability, and performance.
    • Monitor application and infrastructure health using observability tools (e.g., Grafana).
  • Developer Environment & Tooling:
    • Manage and enhance developer environments, tools, and workflows.
    • Ensure maximum productivity and security for engineering teams.
  • IT Systems & Operations:
    • Support internal IT systems, including networking, hardware, software, asset management, and user support.
    • Ensure smooth and secure operations for all employees.
  • Information Security & Governance:
    • Contribute to and manage information security strategy.
    • Include vulnerability management, incident response, access control, data protection, business continuity, and security awareness.
  • Automation and DevOps:
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using AWS CloudFormation templates.
    • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
    • Develop, implement, and regularly test comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems and data.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and other departments to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and align infrastructure and security initiatives with business goals.
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years experience with scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, JSON, YAML, etc.
  • 2+ years experience with AWS Well Architected Framework, and AWS technologies.
  • 2+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Cloudformation, Bicep).
  • Experience with AWS networking services and concepts.
  • Experience with containers including Docker/ECS.
  • Experience with CI/CD/build automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud architecture, having more experience is a big bonus.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies.

It would be awesome if you also have:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with PagerDuty or similar alerting/reporting tools.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform & Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, and security/compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • A passion for video games and an understanding of the games industry.
