Cloud Systems Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises mission-critical systems.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure. You will work closely with the technology-focused team and business to thrive, from small tasks to project-level initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, and security best practices. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to lead by example.

About This Position
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS/Azure) to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Manage and enhance developer environments, tools, and workflows to ensure maximum productivity and security for engineering teams.
  • Assist in managing all internal IT systems, including networking, hardware, software, asset management, and user support, to ensure smooth and secure operations for employees.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture strategy to align technology platforms, systems, and processes with current and future business objectives.
  • Track and eliminate technology debt and legacy artifacts to prevent long-term costs, system failure, or barriers to business success.
  • Contribute to information security strategy, including vulnerability management, incident response, access control, data protection, business continuity, and security awareness.
  • Serve as a servant leader, leading by example and with respect.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience with scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, JSON, YAML, etc.
  • 5+ years experience with AWS Well Architected Framework and AWS technologies.
  • 5+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
  • Expert level knowledge in AWS networking services and concepts.
  • Expert level knowledge in containers, including Docker/ECS.
  • Experience with CI/CD/build automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud architecture.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and security/compliance frameworks like ISO 27001.

We would love to see significant experience with Azure, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools, experience with PagerDuty or similar alerting/reporting tools, and a passion for video games and understanding of the games industry.
