As a Staff Specialist in our Townsville Hospital and Health Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality clinical services to the patients of the Adult Mental Health Services - Rural Consumers. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of mental health care in rural Queensland.

With a remuneration package of up to $529,548 p.a., comprising salary range of $7827.20 - $9924.00p.f. (L18 - L27), you will enjoy a competitive compensation that reflects your expertise and qualifications.

We are seeking a specialist psychiatrist with recognized qualifications by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and current registration with/or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services is essential to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements.

In addition to a stimulating work environment, you will have access to various benefits, including:

  • A generous recreational leave loading (17.5%) and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%);
  • An attraction and retention incentive allowance and regional and rural attraction allowance;
  • A motor vehicle allowance, professional development assistance (allowances and leave), and inaccessibility allowance (if applicable);

The Level of appointment is dependent upon experience and advanced qualifications. You will also be required to possess a class C drivers' licence and may be required to work in other areas of the service.
