We are looking for a professional to fill the Mine Operations Analyst position.

This role is crucial in supporting operational efficiency and productivity of our mining operations. It involves analyzing departmental costs and performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, developing effective production/financial budgeting and forecasting, and managing contractors.

The ideal candidate should have a university degree in Mine Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in mining operations and finance. Analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing departmental costs and performance data.
  • Developing production/financial budgeting and forecasting plans.
  • Preparing detailed cost analysis providing trends and forecasts.
  • Managing contractors for the mine operations department.
  • Generating purchase requisitions in the ERP system.
  • Providing summary reports and performance metrics.

Required qualifications include:

  • University degree in Mine Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mining operations and finance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Working conditions include a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break at Rosebel Gold Mines in Brokopondo.
