Detainee Service Officer Opportunity

As a Detainee Service Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of detainees in our care. This role requires flexibility in relation to your availability to work as directed undertaking a variety of shifts, rotational shift patterns including regular night shift and hours as required by the centre.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. You will need to possess a sound fitness level and have an understanding of the needs of people from different ethnic, cultural and lifestyle backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and security of detainees in our care
  • Work collaboratively with the greater team to maintain the safety and security of the centre
  • Provide support and guidance to detainees as needed
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • Possess a sound fitness level
  • Have an understanding of the needs of people from different ethnic, cultural and lifestyle backgrounds
  • Be able to work successfully with the greater team to maintain the safety and security of the centre
