
Defence Security Specialist Role

We are seeking a security professional to undertake the role of Defence Security Practitioner. This position will be responsible for upholding defence industry security requirements, maintaining security accreditations and managing security clearances. In addition, this role will facilitate awareness training across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Uphold Defence Industry security requirements in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain organisational security accreditations through regular audits and assessments.
- Manage employee security clearances and provide guidance on clearance procedures.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to promote a culture of security within the organisation.
This role is based at the Richmond RAAF base in New South Wales and requires strong communication skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence and foundational knowledge of security principles.
Additional desirable qualities include formal security education, experience working within the defence sector or a deep understanding of defence security policy frameworks.
