Job Overview

We're seeking a compassionate and innovative Personal Care Specialist to join our team, delivering exceptional daily life experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead activities in small groups and one-on-one settings, encompassing creative pursuits, social events, and personal care.
  • Accompany residents to community events and outings, promoting independence and social connections.
  • Record and reflect on daily activities, adapting approaches to meet individual preferences, needs, and abilities.
  • Provide personal care assistance with transfers, mobility, and meal support, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
  • Facilitate medication reminders and coordinate appointments, fostering connection with friends and the wider community.
  • Utilize technology to manage resident schedules and prioritize care delivery.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in aged care, dementia care, or community settings, with a passion for person-centered care.
  • A warm and empathetic approach, embracing creativity and meaningful engagement.
  • Confidence supporting residents with complex care needs and cognitive decline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification, flu vaccination, and current police clearance.
