Risk and Assurance Manager

The SunRice Group is a leading Australian food exporter with operations in 11 countries. We are seeking an experienced Risk and Assurance Manager to join our Health, Wellbeing, Safety and Environment (HWSE) team.
This role will oversee the broader HWSE audit context across the SunRice Group, coordinating second-line HWSE audits and providing direction and coaching on audit activity to the HWSE team. You will also report on findings, develop audit tools, and assess first-line activity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of assurance systems and best practices, as well as excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. You will also have a tertiary qualification in HWSE or a technical equivalent, knowledge of HWSE legislation in SunRice jurisdictions, and experience conducting audit or assurance activities.
As a Risk and Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting site leadership and the HWSE team with a friendly and collaborative approach to ensure findings are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.
Key responsibilities include developing and planning a HWSE audit schedule, coordinating audits across sites and functions, and fostering support for the internal HWSE assurance program across key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the business, as well as excellent coaching and mentoring skills. You will also have a demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
