As a Rates Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the council's rating systems and procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of rates-related tasks.About the RoleThe successful applicant will provide support in all facets of rates administration, including:
  • Processing certificates and notices of sale
  • External and internal receipting
  • Debt recovery and NAR administration
You will also respond to general rating enquiries from internal and external customers and contribute to the continuous improvement of rating systems and procedures.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Experience in Local Government rating and/or debt recovery or a similar administration and customer service environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and team-working skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products
  • Experience in using a computerised rating system (INFOR/Pathways desirable)
