Job Title: Registration Officer

As a key player in the social services sector, we are seeking an experienced Registration Professional to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that strengthen protections and rights of vulnerable Victorians accessing social services.

Our Social Services Regulator is a statutory authority with a commitment to regulatory governance and compliance. We ensure the registration of organisations meets required standards to deliver high-quality services responding to the needs of vulnerable individuals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to improve regulation of in-scope entities, ensuring they meet set standards.
  • Design and deliver support programs to enhance capacity and understanding of regulated sectors.
  • Provide expert advice on policy matters and implement initiatives to improve monitoring of registered organisations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance regulation and outcomes for Victorians accessing in-scope services.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Planning, managing, and delivering initiatives to improve regulation of in-scope entities.
  • Developing and implementing sector learning and development initiatives promoting compliance and improvements within regulated sectors.
  • Creating and reviewing high-quality resources for use by regulated sectors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on high-priority issues, risks, and trends relating to registration of regulated entities.
  • Providing expertise, advice, and recommendations on complex registration-related matters.
  • Collecting, analyzing data to support regulation of providers and service quality accountability monitoring.
  • Providing timely, accurate business intelligence and advice on regulation policy to key stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Relevant experience in regulatory governance and compliance.

Working Environment:

  • 15-month fixed-term contract.
