Thiess seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This leadership role involves coordinating workshop maintenance activities, managing community and environmental compliance, and ensuring production and cost targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and servicing of mobile equipment
  • Ensure equipment is well maintained, clean and fit for purpose and breakdowns are managed efficiently, in an appropriate timeframe
  • Work closely and communicate with subcontractors to achieve alignment between project goals and subcontract compliance
  • Coordinate and control ongoing maintenance to plant and equipment during major shutdown repairs
  • Lead, demonstrate and educate employees to embrace a work environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment where everyone is treated with respect
Requirements:
  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or Electrical Trade Qualifications
  • At least 5 years mining experience with exposure to supervision of maintenance
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and JDE (desirable)
  • The ability to work with cross functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Commitment and compliance to Health and Safety at all times
  • Demonstrated mining supervisory training/qualifications or experience in a similar role
