The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experiencedMaintenance Supervisor to lead our field maintenance team. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team at Bengalla Mine.

The Bengalla Field Maintenance Team is a multi-discipline team that is responsible for the execution of the planned, routine maintenance of our P&H Dragline, Hitachi and Liebherr Excavators, as well as CAT drill fleet. As leader of Bengalla's Field Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our field maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

In this leadership position, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across mining, engineering, and planning teams to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient maintenance outcomes. The role is dedicated to fostering a consistent, high-performing, and engaged team that upholds Bengalla's core values.

Responsibilities

- Be a visible leader, pro-actively maintaining high expectations towards site safety standards.
- Collaborate with various stakeholder within the mining and maintenance teams, to provide the best outcome for Bengalla.
- Provide leadership to your team, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
- Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
- Report incidents, hazards, near-misses, and non-conformances and participate in incident investigations.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification
- Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment
- Heavy plant maintenance experience: 9020 Dragline, Liebherr and Hitachi Excavators and Drills
- Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation
- Ability to make data driven risk-based decisions.
- Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication
- Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse)
- Completed or willingness to complete Effective supervisor training
