This critical role oversees the development and implementation of community recovery strategies and operational plans, ensuring effective collaboration with local councils, government agencies, and non-government organizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive community recovery strategies, aligning with district operational work plans and business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance preparedness and response capabilities, identifying service gaps and informing continuous improvements.
- Provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders on community recovery services, analyzing disaster events to inform evidence-based decision-making.
- Travel is a requirement for this position, necessitating a valid open driver's license.
- A strong understanding of Queensland's disaster management system is essential for success in this role.
- Proven experience in community building, resilience planning, and disaster recovery is highly valued, as well as expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of community recovery principles, practices, and policies, with the ability to analyze complex data and inform evidence-based decision-making.
