Job Title

The Disaster Recovery Liaison Officer plays a key role in coordinating and supporting local activities with partner agencies in response to disaster events, incidents, or crises.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who can work closely with local councils and other stakeholders to develop and implement community recovery plans, providing strategic advice and support to senior leaders.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of Queensland's disaster management system and experience in community building, resilience planning, and disaster recovery.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement community recovery plans.
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of community preparedness and response capability.
  • Partner with communities and local services to plan and implement human and social recovery responses.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders.
  • Analyse disaster events and provide briefings and reports to inform improvements in disaster recovery efforts.
What We Are Looking For
  • A current open driver's license is essential for travel.
