About the Role
As a Senior Backend Software Developer, you will help define and implement our team's technical strategy to meet an evolving set of product and engineering challenges.
You will take ownership of projects from conception to delivery, leading the building of APIs, workflows, and data pipelines to serve our ever-expanding product needs.
Our team is breaking new engineering ground, and we have the opportunity to define innovative solutions for a number of challenges, paving the way for other teams to follow in our footsteps.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and key stakeholders to define product roadmap, prioritize projects, and ship incrementally to production.
- Complex feature delivery, including breaking down requirements, providing accurate time estimates, and actively engaging in team planning and discussions.
- Support the engineering team on architecture evolution, quality improvement, and engineering risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for operational excellence and delightful user experience.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- Mastery of backend technologies.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset with a track record of product thinking.
- Strong aptitude for system thinking, writing high-quality code, and documentation.
- Engaged with cloud technologies such as GCP/AWS.
- Demonstrated history of using a wide range of appropriate testing practices.
- API design best practices.
- Enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of individuals, bridging gaps between different teams and areas of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
- Interest in the financial domain.
- Exposure to technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with data pipeline technologies like Kafka, KStreams/KTables, or Flink.
- Experience with payment processor, card scheme network, or fintech industry.
