The Issuing Transactions team plays a critical role in managing card payment processing services, enabling Airwallex customers to make cross-border payments to millions of suppliers worldwide in over 140 currencies, facilitated by our multi-currency wallet and competitive foreign exchange rates.
Job Description:As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help shape and implement our team's technical strategy to meet evolving product and engineering challenges. You will take ownership of projects from conception to delivery, leading the development of high-available APIs, workflows, and data pipelines to serve our expanding product needs.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define product roadmaps, prioritize projects, and ship incrementally to production.
- Design and build low-latency distributed systems using public cloud infrastructure.
- Support the engineering team on architecture evolution, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for operational excellence and user experience.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in backend technologies, automated testing, and quality control processes. Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP and AWS is essential, as well as API design best practices and solving distributed systems challenges.
- Mastery of Kotlin with Spring Boot.
