We are seeking an experienced Mine Production Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mine planning and operations, with a proven track record of delivering safe and efficient production results.

About the Role

As a Mine Production Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. This will involve developing and implementing plans in line with short to medium-term planning targets.

  • Developing and implementing weekly, monthly and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets
  • Supervising the stope design process and subsequent drill and blast plans to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
  • Developing, implementing and recording mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery

You will also be responsible for reconciling mined plan versus actual to identify improvement areas, as well as end-of-month reconciliation and claims management.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above, you will also be responsible for:

  • Mentoring and coaching the Mine Planning team to promote a culture of collaborative delivery
  • Apprising the Underground Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production
  • Contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives to enhance the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mine planning and operations, with a proven track record of delivering safe and efficient production results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

This is an on-site position with a roster of 8 days on and 6 days off. Residential and FIFO options are available.
