Job Title:

Adventure Leader

Lizard Island Resort seeks a skilled Activities Manager to oversee marine and tourism activities.

This role offers a unique blend of adventure, leadership, and career growth opportunities.

  • Develop and manage all marine activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, and more.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and guests during all activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee tourism activities, including island tours and cultural experiences.
  • Lead a team to deliver exceptional service to guests.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are in excellent working condition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marine Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing activities in a hospitality or tourism setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine and tourism activities, including safety regulations.
  • Relevant certifications such as PADI Dive Master, Coxswain Grade 1, and First Aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute activities that meet high standards of quality and safety.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
