Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accountant to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial statements with AASB/IFRS accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure quality output is delivered
  • Ensure full compliance with AASB/IFRS accounting standards
  • Identify and update the Finance team on any new accounting standards or changes to existing standards
  • Production of Impact Analysis and memos
  • Prepare accounting position papers that comply with AASB/IFRS and provide impact analysis
  • Prepare and maintain internal accounting policies and processes
  • Educate the team on technical accounting matters and their impact on financial statements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on technical accounting. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with C-level stakeholders.
