Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the homepage, ensuring timely and accurate publication of news content
  • SOURCE, CURATE, AND RANK news content, working closely with digital producers to ensure the highest quality content is delivered
  • Use competitive instincts, skills, and headline testing programs to maximize the appeal of news stories, images, and videos
  • Utilize picture and image editing platforms to create engaging images for stories and videos
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent news judgment and a sound understanding of media and defamation law
  • Collaborate with news editors, reporters, social, and off-platform teams to achieve KPIs, growth, and development plans
  • Understand content optimization, audience growth, and the role of data in the newsroom
  • Work in a matrix structure, collaborating and influencing by example with teams that don't report to you
  • Stay up-to-date with national and international news cycles and have a keen eye for a great story

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Digital Content Editor with at least five years of experience working in a newsroom. You should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, be familiar with social video best practices, and be data-driven, using analytics to inform content decisions.
