About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief to drive exceptional editorial, commercial, and production outcomes for our House & Garden and Belle brands.


  • Liaise with the editor-in-chief and editorial team on issue themes, content creation, and deadlines.
  • Work with the commercial team to manage the budget and take corrective action where needed.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to amplify our brands across digital and social networks and create engaging content.
  • Work with the content hub and subs to ensure content meets production deadlines and is thoroughly subbed.
  • Effectively lead the team throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, recognition, and offboarding.

Key Skills and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and strong leadership skills. Previous management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages are essential.
