About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Local Host to join our team at Punthill Oakleigh, offering accommodation options for business and leisure travelers. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will provide exceptional guest experiences and be the face of our brand in the local community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service at all touchpoints, ensuring guests have a memorable stay.
- Craft creative solutions to resolve complaints and problems, demonstrating your problem-solving skills.
- Showcase your local knowledge, providing expert advice and recommendations to guests on key points of interest.
- Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and poise.
- Identify opportunities to increase returning and new guests, driving business growth.
- Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to maintain Veri-Best standards.
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We're looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys variety, and operates with an ownership mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Approved Australian working rights.
- A First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain before starting).
- A Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or ability to obtain before starting).
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- An ability to work as a team and independently.
- Experience in a customer service role.
