About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our Auslan Program team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Program Lead and contribute to the successful operation of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Auslan Program Lead, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers, customers, and external agencies.
  • Assist with the coordination of program initiatives and projects, including arranging meetings and events.
  • Provide administrative support for the Auslan leadership team, including preparing reports and presentations.
Requirements
  • Advanced Auslan skills, including Certificate IV or Diploma in Auslan level.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of deaf culture and experience working with deaf or hard of hearing individuals.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in a variety of administrative roles.
  • Demonstrated high-level administrative skills, including the ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and improve operational strategies.
