Looking for a challenging role that combines DevOps expertise with customer-facing skills?

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source, and has a passion for problem-solving. Puppet Professional Services Engineer will work closely with customers to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably.

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced engineer who can effectively manage time and projects, work well under pressure, and maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients. The ideal candidate will have strong customer relations and presentation skills, as well as a solid background in programming with Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps, including automation.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with our customers to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably
  • Deliver Puppet training and workshops to our customers
  • Assist our education team to keep that training accurate and up to date as our products and our customers' needs evolve
  • Provide pre-sales support to Sales & Marketing
  • Develop, publish and maintain Puppet modules and products
  • Develop and promote integration and tooling around Puppet products
  • Contribute blog posts and other communication for Puppet
  • Work with R&D and Product Management to develop and test Puppet products

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in software DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills, with the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
