Job Summary

This is a senior leadership position that oversees the strategic direction and technical delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects across various sectors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide executive-level leadership to engineering teams, contributing to business growth through innovation and technical input to bids. They will ensure quality, compliance, and performance standards are met on all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to engineering teams.
  • Oversee the design, commissioning, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and safety in design.
  • Engage with clients, technology suppliers, and delivery partners to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Support business development activities by providing engineering input into tenders, proposals, and feasibility assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering roles within the water or wastewater sector.
  • A strong background in process or chemical engineering, with exposure to membrane systems (RO, UF, etc.).
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams.
  • Experience overseeing design, commissioning, and operational optimisation of treatment plants or similar systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, commercial teams, and external partners.
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) and/or RPEQ eligibility preferred.
