Cloud Sales Professional Job Description
\Drive cloud adoption in Higher Education and Research institutions by increasing revenue across a portfolio of customers. Develop and manage sales pipelines, deliver on account strategies, and build relationships with key stakeholders. Work with internal teams to create compelling solutions that drive customer success. The ideal candidate has experience selling technology solutions to Higher Education or Research institutions and managing complex sales cycles.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute account and territory strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.\
- Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities and drive net new business.\
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around cloud transformation and AI innovation to customers.\
- Review sales and metrics data from accounts to evolve the sales strategy.\
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement on cloud and AI technologies.\
- Build long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.\
- Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services and AI/ML solutions.\
- Develop strong relationships within the Higher Education technology community.\
- Manage complex deal negotiations and ensure customer satisfaction.\
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and grant funding processes.\
- Comply with student data privacy regulations and security standards.\
- Understand academic ERP systems and common Higher Ed technology stacks.\
- Contribute to the development of effective sales strategies and tactics.\
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals.\
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance.\
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to inform decision-making.\
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.\
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.\
- Work closely with technical experts to develop solution proposals.\
- Represent AWS at industry events and conferences.\
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development.\\/ul">

\Education and Qualifications
\The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 6+ years of experience selling to Higher Education institutions. Direct experience with state education procurement systems and buying cycles is required. Previous experience with cloud services sales (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred. Strong knowledge of academic research computing requirements and grant funding processes is essential. Experience with student data privacy regulations and security compliance is also necessary. Understanding of academic ERP systems and common Higher Ed technology stacks is required.
