**Job Title:** Vibrant Places Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of our vibrant places team, you will play a crucial role in delivering events, arts and place making activations across the local government area.

Your responsibilities will include delivering council's civic events, such as Australia Day, NAIDOC week and New Year's Eve. You will also support the overall vibrant places team in creating vibrant and liveable places, supporting economic growth, increasing overnight visitor spend, and fostering community connection.

You will work with community and event organisers to support the delivery of events on council land, providing advice, expertise and support in building a safe, sustainable and inclusive event.

Some of your key responsibilities within this role include:

  • Contributing to the development and delivery of Council's events and activation program to align with identified strategic outcomes
  • Facilitating and supporting film, wedding and event organisers with the PSC licence
  • Supporting the curation of the arts and cultural program

We're looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in a related field and proven experience in a similar role. You should have a sound understanding of the event and arts industry, including experience with operations, development, support and facilitation in events and arts projects.
